wow.... 50th .. that's mean the chinese speaking congregation is 50 years old... started in 1956.... long time ago.. my father not even born yet.. lol... just a year before merdeka.. haha!!!
the anniversary dinner is held in a hall... forgot what it is called, anyway, it's something to do with Sarawak Churches. we got the Archbishop of the Province of South East Asia, coming from Singapore to celebrate it with us, the dean, bishop and assistant ( i think also included..), fathers....
the dinner started at 6.30pm sharp... first, welcome speech from the father of the catheral, next, opening address by the bishop and Grace by the dean.
after that,, we enjoy our dinner... which i did not eat much.. after 3 dishes, Archbishop gave his address, and then we had presentation of history review, using power point slides.
and then, dinner continue...............>>
finish every dishes, the programme was towards it's ending. time for souvenirs.. bishop gave them to 3 exfathers of St. Thomas Catheral and also to The Archbishop. for retirement, the bishop also recieved souvenirs from the Archbishop.
next, we got presentation by CSC choir of 100+ people. huge group... the voices were all high and clear.. wow.... those are CHOIR.. and lastly, Benediction by the Archbishop.
we continue with 1 or 2 dishes and then fruits..every table got a small cake with "50th" writing on top of it.. we sang "Happy Birthday" and cut the cake on the same count... we left after that...
now, sitting in front of the computer.. tired... and sleepy.. cause it is 12.28 in the morning!!! and i have not even change my dinner clothes yet............
